Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Because you have several important choices, it is important to speak with a Zeinali’s health insurance expert. Refer to our comparison chart for more information on Medicare options.

The cost of monthly premiums varies.  The price changes based on how long you or your spouse paid Medicare taxes while working:

  • The Part A  premium is free for most people.  Otherwise, it will either be $278 or $506 in 2023.
  • The 2023 Part B premium starts at $164.90.  You may also incur a penalty if you don’t purchase Part A when you first become eligible.
  • You may also choose to purchase Medicare Part C or Part D, or supplemental insurance.

Depending on your income, you may also qualify for assistance with deductibles and copays.

For more information on Medicare costs, please refer to this U.S. Government Website.

Although Medicare covers short-term care at a skilled nursing facility (SNF) under certain circumstances, it does not pay for long-term care.

Instead, private options are available.  Speak with a Zeinali’s expert today about long-term care options and get the peace of mind you worked hard to deserve.

According to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Medicare is a health insurance program while Medicaid is an assistance program.

Medicare is funded by a trust that covers the costs of the program.  Eligible enrollees must either be over 65 years old, must be disabled, or must require dialysis treatment.

Medicaid defers health care costs for low-income people of all ages.  It is jointly run by Federal and State governments and therefore varies from state to state.
